Overview
Embark on a fascinating journey through Gujarat with this 7-day itinerary. Start in Jamnagar and make your way to Dwarka, where you’ll visit the Dwarkadheesh Temple and other sacred sites. Continue to Somnath, home to the revered Somnath Temple, before heading to the coastal town of Diu to explore its beaches and Portuguese heritage. Journey to Sasan Gir, the abode of Asiatic Lions, and enjoy a thrilling safari. On your way back to Ahmedabad, visit temples and palaces in Virpur and Gondal. Finally, conclude your trip in Ahmedabad, where you can indulge in some shopping before departing.
Itinerary
Upon arrival in Jamnagar, proceed to Dwarka (approximately 150 kms - 4 hours). Visit the Dwarkadheesh Temple and take a holy dip in the Gomti river. Later, visit Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Gopi Talav, Bet Dwarka, Rukmani Temple, and other coastal area temples. Attend the evening aarti at Dwarkadhish temple. Overnight stay at the hotel in Dwarka.
After breakfast, revisit the sacred sites in Dwarka and then travel to Somnath (approximately 240 kms - 4.5 hours). En route, visit the Harsiddh Mata temple offering splendid views of the Arabian Sea. Reach Somnath by evening. Overnight at the Hotel in Somnath.
In the morning, visit Somnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlinga Temples and a revered Shiva Temple. Optionally, visit Bhalka Teerth. Proceed to Diu (approximately 90 kms - 2 hours), known for its beaches and Portuguese heritage. Evening visit to Nagoa beach. Overnight at the Hotel in Diu.
Explore Diu's attractions like Bunder Chowk, Fort, Panikota, St. Paul's Church, and visit St. Paul's Church, Diu Museum, and Diu Fort. Enjoy leisure time relaxing on the beach. Overnight at the hotel in Diu.
After breakfast, proceed to Sasan Gir, the abode of Asiatic Lions. Visit Gir Interpretation Zone at Devaliya (Note: During the rainy season, the sanctuary may be closed). Later, proceed to Rajkot and stay overnight at the hotel.
Post breakfast, head to Ahmedabad. En route, visit Jalaram Temple at Virpur, Swaminarya Temple, Navlakha Palace, and Vintage Car Museum at Gondal. Arrive in Ahmedabad in the evening. Free time for shopping at Law Garden or a visit to Kankaria Lake. Overnight stay at the hotel in Ahmedabad.
Morning after breakfast, engage in any last-minute activities or shopping. Later, proceed to Ahmedabad Airport/Railway Station for your return journey, concluding your tour with wonderful memories.
